The history of SEBRAS begins when Oscar Cámara, founding partner, begins a postgraduate program in Quality Management in the city of Yokohama, Japan.
During the mandatory internship of the specialization, carried out at the Komatsu factory in Hamamatsu, Oscar had his first contact with an innovative concept for closing large spans. The technology, which integrated knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and automation, sparked his interest and ignited the initial spark for the development of a new product aimed at the global industry.
Back in Argentina, Oscar began working as a service provider at the Ford factory, where he once again encountered the industrial closure concept he had discovered in Japan. Realizing a great market opportunity, he started developing and marketing industrial doors in the country.
Seeing that the Brazilian market was five times larger than the Argentine one, Oscar decided to expand his business. In the same year, SEBRAS was founded in São Leopoldo (RS), along the BR-116 highway, with a local partner and a small team. Among the first employees was Valdir Hüning, who, thanks to his commitment and strategic vision, would later become a partner in the company.
In Argentina, the first prototype of the Maxidoor was created — a door designed for large spans and customized projects.
SEBRAS designs and manufactures the first Maxidoor doors for the company Technip in Espírito Santo, marking a significant advancement of the product line in the Brazilian market.
After strategic visits to EMBRAER, the first Maxidoor was sold for the Pre-Salt Project.
SEBRAS acquires a new headquarters with an expanded manufacturing facility, boosting its production capacity and innovation potential.
In 2023, SEBRAS expanded its international presence, consolidating distributors in several Latin American countries, such as Guatemala, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, and Mexico.
SEBRAS is a project in constant expansion, evolution, and growth.
